Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
